Family

Since the idea of doing a blog was not to be : What pissed off Dave today, I want to talk about something extremely positive and life-changing that has happened in almost exactly the last two years. I have 2 completely new families that I am so proud to call my family now! They are hard-working, God-fearing, loving families, that I wouldn’t trade for any. I can call or stop by the families anytime. They are free to do the same. We’re like many typical families, we have fun, we disagree, we kid each other, but in the end, we are there for one another, and like a big brother, I wouldn’t let anything happen to my family.

I remember about 15 years ago, my daughter bringing this spunky little squirt home to play. I know the pictures still exist with one or the other missing teeth. They grew up together, but I never really knew the family much. Later on those two “mean girls” picked up another friend, who loved life and athletics the way those two did. I really didn’t know her mom and dad, but knew the grandparents. 3 girls, 3 separate families, with their own siblings, set of other friends, problems, hobbies, who have united 3 families into one. Having a small family locally, this means so much. I’ve picked up a father and mother figure, a brother, sister, another little sister, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and so many others.
