Down, But Not Out

down but not out

The votes have been cast, and the voters spoke. I will not be on the school board. I want to thank those who voted for me from the bottom of my heart. Make no mistake, we will still have a change at some point, and I won’t stop pursuing the task of making OUR school a better place for all OUR kids. This is a hollow victory, and one that doesn’t push the school forward. We will continue to fair badly in our school report card, just as advertised. The school will rely on the bullying policies of old that have proven to be ineffective. Crivitz students that do extra curricular activities will still be subject to “random” drug testing. The school will continue on being run by a couple people with their own agendas.

On a side note, I am happy that my children have graduated, and don’t have to deal with the constant stream of issues created by “city hall”. There are still a lot of people that would like to see a change in the district, so I suspect that the next time we all head to the polls we’ll see a better challenger than myself, more polished, more popular. Readers, stand up for what you believe in. I did, and I wouldn’t change it for anything. It’s quite humbling to lose, but to not try would have been worse.  Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;” 2 Corinthians 4:9 Stay tuned!
