Things have been a bit quiet and laid back lately. I haven’t blogged for several weeks, so I thought maybe I would share a few random thoughts. One of them is how busy our lives have become. I remember going to family and friends almost every weekend, or having them over for dinner. If you’re still doing this, let me say that I think that is great. Facebook is nice for staying in touch, but seeing someone’s actual face is even better. I’m thinking of this as I am attempting to organize my 30th class reunion, and looking forward to seeing some faces that I haven’t seen in years. It is interesting to me how those years we spend with our classmates creates such a bond.
One other thought that I’d like to share is how important I believe family is. If you have a big or close family I am happy for you. Mine is somewhat small and fragmented. I’m certain that I could do more, but am not even sure where to start. At the end of the day, family is one of the only constants in life, so hopefully we can all find a way to make the time and effort to be with ours. There are certainly lots of things to worry and fret about, but today I want to reminisce the good old days, when all of us seemed to have more time for our loved ones, and our lives seemed somehow slower. With all the scary things going on in the world, enjoy you family, friends, and lives as a whole. You get only one spin on the fun wheel, make it a great one. Happy summer everyone! Stay Tuned!
