“Ruckus”

When someone is planning to leave in their car, many times the last thing you say to them is “drive safe”. This happened yesterday, as my youngest daughter was heading back to Green Bay after a great visit. The very last thing I said was ” I love you, drive safe”. She was driving safe, when a local woman decided to perform an illegal u-turn in town on the main street. The lady drove right into the front corner of her car. My daughter’s first call was to her dad. I guess sometimes that’s a big part of the reason dads are so important, to take care of these types of things. I told her I would be right there, and to get the woman’s name, number, insurance info, and to call the police. When I got there my daughter was visibly shaken, but otherwise okay. Obviously, it was great to see her intact, even though her car wasn’t.

Ruckus: a heated controversy: Newspapers fostered the ruckus by printing the opponents’ letters.

After I hugged her, and reassured her that everything would be alright, I asked her for the story. She said she was driving through town, and the woman drove right into the front of her car. She pulled to the side of the road, and met with the woman and another lady. After some talking, she informed the woman that her dad was coming. The lady asked her who her dad was. She said “Dave Kopp”. She said the gal said “OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH”, and had a very worried look on her face. My daughter asked if she knew me, and the lady said “yes, from the ruckus”. Too funny! Another unenlightened Crivitz knucklehead! There is no “ruckus”, there is the “Narcissist and the Carpet Bagger”! I realize that my last blog post was way too deep for some of the troll readers, so I am keeping this one at a fifth grade level. The “ruckus” amounts to the completely inept Crivitz School District administrator, who is a liar, and his minions on the board that have no spines, and a family that bullies anyone that doesn’t bend to their will. The only people that think there’s an actual “ruckus” are the ones who keep their heads in the sand, and keep drinking the Kool-aid. Stay Tuned!

The Narcissist and the Carpet Bagger

According to the Mayo Clinic a narcissist is a person that has an  inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for admiration and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem that’s vulnerable to the slightest criticism. It goes on to list some of the traits of the narcissist:

  • Having an exaggerated sense of self-importance
  • Expecting to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it
  • Exaggerating your achievements and talents
  • Being preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate
  • Believing that you are superior and can only be understood by or associate with equally special people
  • Requiring constant admiration
  • Having a sense of entitlement
  • Expecting special favors and unquestioning compliance with your expectations
  • Taking advantage of others to get what you want
  • Having an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others
  • Being envious of others and believing others envy you
  • Behaving in an arrogant or haughty manner

A carpet bagger is defined by Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary as: a nonresident or new resident who seeks private gain from an area often by meddling in its business or politics. The Free Dictionary describes a carpet bagger as: an outsider who seeks power or success presumptuously. Wow, readers, I wonder if you can identify these two people. It’s much easier than finding Waldo! Give them my regards! Stay tuned!
