Random Thoughts

After attending the Crivitz Spring Sports Banquet, where my daughter took home the Crivitz Sports Booster Award, I have a few random thoughts. As I sat in the auditeria, I remembered hearing about the “random” drug testing at the same venue months earlier. “Random?”, when my daughter was the first one to be tested? Doesn’t seem “random” to me. What has this “random” drug testing accomplished? What are the results? Have we wiped out drugs in the Crivitz School system? Has it even made a dent? Are we testing for steroids?? I think policy at Crivitz is “random”. As I looked back at one of the articles from Channel 2 News that was pro-testing, I looked at the poll asking whether folks were for or against. More than 80% were against “random” drug testing. Where in this world does less than 20% rule? North of Highway 64 only!!

Since this unpopular “random” drug testing policy has been shoved down our throats, we should at the very least be updated on its effectiveness. As I’ve shown in a prior blog post, it was not free, as we were told when it was implemented. The Crivitz Administrator and his cronies (the school board) have proven that they will do anything they want, and you can’t do anything about it. They pass “their” rules and regulations, and then police them as they see fit. They are the judge and jury for our children. My youngest child in the district has graduated(thank God), but I still feel for the people who are impacted by this “regime”. When we all get the chance, let’s “randomly” vote to eliminate these folks. Just some “random” thoughts. Stay tuned.

Things I’d Rather Do

Last week I went to the M & O Conference Track Meet. My daughter finished 5th in the 100 meter dash, and her team dominated the 400 relay. My son finished 3rd in the discus, and 5th in the shot. Of course dad is very proud! On my way between venues I was stopped by Kenny, and he told me that when this is all over he believes that he and I will be “good buddies again.” Holy cow does he not get it. Also, that was a dangerous position to put the two of us in. That could have gotten out of control in a hurry. As I have had some time to marinate on this, I’ve come to a few conclusions. First, and foremost, we were never buddies, and never will be. Second, I’ve been thinking about things I’d rather do than be buddies with Kenny.

I'd rather do

Here are some things that I’d rather do than be buddies with Kenny: get a prostate exam from a leper that walks away with nine fingers! I’d rather get a root canal by a drunken dentist without a shot! I’d rather play in traffic in Chicago. I  would rather be water boarded! I’d rather get Lasik from a guy who claims to have stayed at a Holiday Inn last night! I’d rather have shit in my hands and clap! I’d rather be trapped in an elevator with Kanye West! I’d rather go to a family reunion! I’d rather skydive without a parachute! I’d rather watch a campaign ad marathon! I’d rather be the administrator at Crivitz School! NO! Scratch that one. Actually, I’d rather tell The Truth According to Dave! Stay tuned.

Imagine-Not by John Lennon

It was time to reblog this post, so that readers know exactly what happened to my child, and how the Crivitz School system operates. I am going to once again, suggest that Pat Mans step down.

superkopp1's avatarThe Truth According to Dave

Imagine that you are a parent of a high school student-athlete. Imagine that you receive a call from the school accusing your daughter of serious violations. Imagine what goes through your mind. Well, I don’t need to do that, because it happened to me. Now imagine, that later on, you learn that your daughter was taken out of class in the middle of a presentation, and put in a room, not knowing why. Imagine the fear that is going through her mind. Imagine wondering where your parents are. Imagine not even being able to use the restroom without supervision.

Now imagine this scenario-being interrogated by the school administrator, principal, athletic director, and being told you’re guilty regardless what you say. Then imagine a police officer comes in to interrogate you. Imagine this officer naming women’s prisons that you may…

Administrator For a Day

A reader of this blog named Jim posed a few questions, along with his thoughts on the Dama/School District issue. One of the things he asked is how myself, or my friend Pete might have handled the situation had we been Administrator. Great question, and before I answer, I will tell you that Pete will have a pointed response. One thing I would have done is called parents immediately, as per the law! Another thing I would have done is interviewed the other girls that were in the locker room. Additionally, I would have followed the rules as set by the school board, as well as, handbook. The law also dictates that when you interrogate kids you MUST video tape it. I would have followed the rules and laws.I would not have been the puppet for Mike Drama and his family. I have an actual set of balls and a backbone, and would utilize them.

To conclude, there is still no evidence of any wrongdoing, other than a girl having a phone. Many pictures of girls  in the Crivitz locker room exist. I will share them, as they have been on the internet.

All from this year. I do not want these children punished, one is a daughter of a very good friend. Just sharing for the purpose of letting readers know how crooked the Crivitz School is. You can’t tell me a dummy like me can see these, but the school can’t.

The school and Drama wanted to get these, smart, attractive, athletic girls out of the picture, so that the Drama girl could get out of their shadow. What did she do with it? Not a damn thing! Also Jim, as far as the school not doling out punishment consistently, you could not be more on the mark. Apparently you can break federal law, and still win the Pete Banaszak Award for best student-athlete at Crivitz!! Also, please do not assume, because you are on the board of education,  automatically you are looking out for the best interest of kids, because that cannot be further from the truth, for instance Cory Sotka. You do not need to even have education or qualification to be on the board, again see above. This is not to say there are not good members, as I can think of two. If I were the Administrator, here is the last thing I would do——–resign, because I screwed over 3 girls, ruined their high school years, their reputation, and can’t seem to tell the truth!! Stay tuned.

Google Me What??

How would you feel if someone Googled your business, and your competitor’s business address and picture showed up on it? Well, this is actually the case here in Crivitz, Wisconsin. If you Google Kempka Excavation you get an address of 710 Main Ave. with a picture of Dama’s building and sign on it. When I hit the directions tab Google directs me to take Hall Ave to Wilbert Street, and then Main Ave. Google tells me it will take 9 minutes for me to walk there. It would take me much, much longer to actually walk to Kempka Excavating.(A place where I’d actually want to go!) Maybe and hour or two!  This issue is forcing the owners of Kempka Excavating to spend many hundreds of dollars to fix. Additionally Drama put up an enormous billboard right next to the Kempka’s Maiden Lake Plumbing business. It is so big, it makes you wonder who is compensating for what! Talk about bullies! That takes some kind of nerve to do that to people, and then smile in their face.

Readers, when you want to hear what is actually going on in our little fishbowl, please continue to look for that information here. I encourage you to think twice about doing business with someone who utilizes the above tactics. Your hard earned money is too hard to come by. Stay tuned.

Is this really where Kempka Excavating is?? It looks like Drama Plumbing to me! Something smells!

Appeal Filed!

In a new start in their search for justice and vindication, the girls have filed their appeal yesterday. It will go to before three appellate court judges. As regular readers of my blog already know, I believe that the girls got robbed by the Circuit Court judge. I also believe that things happened behind the scenes that no one is aware of. I think that it may not be a coincidence that Judge Morrison, and Judge Judge were pictured together on the front cover of the Eagle Herald around the time of the decision. Things to ponder.

As I sit here today, I am confident that the three young ladies will eventually get their day in court. When they do, they will finally clear their names, and can put a pin in this bitter, lengthy lawsuit. Had the Crivitz Schools and the Dama family done the right thing long ago, this would not have to be so bitter and time-consuming! As always, this blog-writer will continue to espouse The Truth According to Dave! When you purposely hurt teenage girls, you have no one to complain to about this. You have brought this upon yourselves, and remember, I will never cease to fight for what I believe is right. I will continue to shine the spotlight on injustice. Stay Tuned.

Stick Up the Ass

images I had the misfortune of attending and open/closed session school board meeting in Coleman last week. The following are some thoughts that I have after processing the ordeal. The first thing that occurs to me is that local school administrators make too much money, and think that they are much more important than they actually are. The Coleman Administrator is someone that I have been acquainted with for a while. I noticed that he even walks funny since he became more than a teacher. It appears to me like he has a giant stick up his ass! When he had the opportunity to speak in closed session, he blindsided my girls’ mother. What a punk move to get his way. This individual tried to make a 7-year tenured employee with a glowing resume look like a bad employee. She has nothing but a sterling work record, and has been a beacon for many special needs students.

He mentioned 4 points that allowed him to make this move. One point was class sizes. In special education class size can be dictated by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Some children need to have one on one attention, so this was a weak argument. As a second point he mentioned that she was in the middle as far as tenure. I wonder if his math skills have failed him since becoming administrator, as there is no middle to 4 employees!! You’re either in the top 2 or bottom 2! As a third point, he mentioned that she was only licensed for 10 years and above. So they let her go for the very reason they hired her 7 years prior. SMART! The last thing this ass mentioned was that she did not communicate or collaborate well based upon the opinion of her direct supervisor. When she asked him who her direct supervisor was, he could not answer. When I had the opportunity to speak I mentioned that maybe he had the communication problem, since he could not tell her who her supervisor was.

All of this was before a school board that did not have a single clue. These folks could not buy a vowel! The school board president was wearing a hooded sweatshirt! REALLY? The entire group looked like deer in a headlight.  Readers, be very careful when you get to that voting booth. You are voting in rubes, in many cases, like a plumber or worse(is there worse?), who rubber-stamp what these knobs(for instance,  Pat Mans) want. Once you have voted them into office, our children are at their mercy. One of the reasons I started to write this blog is to call out people like this. Has it worked? Time will tell. Stay tuned.

Please see another perspective by a concerned parent: http://www.crivitzschooldistrict.com. These particular rubes (The wonderful Crivitz School District) didn’t even pay for that domain! I wonder if they regret that!

Graduation

As I sit here this morning, I am thinking about my youngest daughter graduating shortly. She will graduate 5th in her class, but with weighted grades would be 2nd. I graduated Crivitz High School in 1987. This was no major accomplishment, as I had no plans to further my education at that time. My immediate plans were to go into the workforce, and figure things out later. For this young lady, it is a big deal, as she will attend UWGB before transferring to Madison after 2 years. She is following an older sister who graduated college with honors in Bio Chemistry. She has been to state in spelling and forensics. She has also excelled at track, having been to sectionals the past 2 years. She has many more accomplishments, but the best part is she is a wonderful young lady. Dad is proud.

While thinking about graduation, and what a happy time, I think back to last year, and watching my daughter and her 2 friends graduate. I remember being proud, but also looking at that smug look on Pat and Mike’s face, and laughing as the three went by without shaking their hands. I think now about how much hatred those two individuals, and their cronies have caused. I listened Monday night to a story of one of the girls breaking down over the weekend, and crying and weeping for 3 hours. I listened to how none of them cares for Crivitz any longer, and none want to be seen when they are home. I wonder if Mans and Dama are happy at what THEY caused. I wonder how they feel about the conditions that THEY made those kids endure. I hope THEY can fathom the depths of loathing that many people feel for them. As I sit this year, and take great pride in my daughter’s graduation, I will, once again have to look at these two people that I hate with a passion, shake hands with young kids with their muggy, smug faces, act like they are important, or that a kid gives a shit about their handshake. I for one, will be happy to see less of them and their minions. They’ll still see me though. Stay tuned.

3 Guys, Shirts and Ties

Schools have been in the news an inordinate amount of time lately. Coleman just decided to non-renew 3 long-term teachers, even though many in the community did not want this. As  I heard it from someone who attended the meeting, the board listened and then did what they, or more likely, the administrator wanted anyway. It’s interesting that none of these teachers has been accused of cyber-bullying, like the one in Marinette Garfield School, who is still there! The Peshtigo Superintendent has been pushing hard for a new $30 + million dollar school that the voters have twice turned down. Crivitz has been in the news for their on-going litigation issues, and board recalls, and “randomized” drug testing.

It appears that taxpayers in the Crivitz, Coleman, and Peshtigo districts have an Administrator problem. The boards are being advised by these 3 guys, and just go ahead with their plans regardless what the public wants. When will they listen?? By all accounts Crivitz people did not want the drug testing. Why then, does the board go ahead with it? Peshtigo folks voted down the new school, and then voted NO by a wider margin the 2nd time. With one teacher retiring, and 3 non-renewed, Coleman just shaved 10% of their teaching staff. What will this do to class sizes? Just one or two taxpayers having their voice heard will not work. We need to have lots of voices be heard. The voters in Peshtigo just sent a huge message to the Administrator there. Will he get it??It’s time for the rest of us to do the same. Stay tuned.

Failures

In an April story the USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin 3:29 p.m. CDT April 12, 2016, a petition has been proposed by members of the public asking Wisconsin lawmakers to enact a “Dassey Law”. This law would prohibit police from questioning minors without a lawyer present. Of course this relates to the Steven Avery case, but it makes sense for all minors.

Wisconsin law currently fails………., as it only requires law enforcement to immediately attempt to notify the child’s parent or guardian. In the case of my daughter law enforcement did not immediately attempt to notify her parents, and neither did the Crivitz School system. Does someone who possibly killed and tortured an innocent woman and burned her body, have more rights than a Crivitz student who did virtually nothing? What the hell is wrong with this picture? Who is petitioning on behalf of a 17 year old student-athlete?

In 2005, the Wisconsin Supreme Court exercised its supervisory power to require that all custodial interrogations of juveniles be recorded. This also did not happen. What is wrong with this picture? It says required, not recommended! You may think this case, and the injustices are old, but they are not nearly as old as the Steve Avery case that is still being talked about every day. Who’s talking about 3 young girls who also got screwed over, by the very people that were supposed to be looking out for them. Yes, Pat Mans, I’m talking to you. Sleeping well? I sure hope not. Stay tuned.
